Planning and Zoning Board Public Hearing scheduled for December 19, 2017 beginning at 9:00 AM. THIS MEETING IS BEING HELD AT THE HARBOURSIDE BALLROOM, 3000 HARBOURSIDE DRIVE, LONGBOAT KEY, FLORIDA.

Please take notice that the following public hearings will be held on December 19, 2017, at the request of Unicorp National Developments, Inc. (“Applicant”), a property owner and agent of property owner(s) for the property located at 1620 Gulf of Mexico Drive:


1)         A quasi-judicial hearing will be held on the Applicant’s request for approval of a Planned Unit Development, Outline Development Plan and Final Site Plan Approval to build 102 residential units, 1 tourism unit and request 165 units from the Town’s tourism pool to construct a 166 room resort on the site, with 3 restaurants, 2 bars, a spa, 10,000 square feet of meeting space (a ballroom and meeting/board rooms), lobby area, administrative areas, service areas, swimming pools, and off-street parking at the property located at 1620 Gulf of Mexico Drive.


2)         A public hearing will also be held on the Applicant’s request for a Zoning Text Amendment to amend Section 158.180(E) of the Town Zoning Code.


The quasi-judicial public hearing before the Planning and Zoning Board on the Applicant’s Planned Unit Development, Outline Development Plan and Final Site Plan Approval proposal will be held on December 19, 2017, at 9:00 a.m., or as soon thereafter as may be heard, at the Harbourside Ballroom, 3000 Harbourside Drive (enter through the north guardhouse off Bay Isles Parkway), Longboat Key, Florida. This hearing will be held in accordance with established quasi-judicial procedures. Thereafter, the Applicant’s request for a zoning text amendment shall be heard at a public hearing at the same location.


All interested persons may appear and be heard with respect to the request for Outline Development Plan, Site Plan, and Zoning Text Amendment approval submitted by the Applicant.  Copies of the Applicant’s proposals and related material associated with the requests may be viewed at the Planning, Zoning & Building Department, 501 Bay Isles Road, between 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. weekdays prior to the hearing.  Questions may be directed to the Planning, Zoning & Building Department at 316-1966.


No verbatim record by a certified court reporter is made of these proceedings. Accordingly, any person who may seek to appeal any decision involving the matters noticed herein will be responsible for making a verbatim record of the testimony and evidence at these proceedings upon which any appeal is to be based (see Section 286.0105, Florida Statutes).
