Planning and Zoning Board Public Hearing scheduled for May 15, 2018 beginning at 9:00 AM

Please take notice that a public hearing will be held at the request of the Mar Vista Pub, Inc., property owner, requesting:


1)    Special Exception to reduce the amount of outdoor dining area from 2,096 square feet to 1,634 square feet and relocate the remaining seats to the indoor dining area; and


2)    Site Plan Amendment to remove the Jordan House, reconfigure the parking area and add 160 square feet to the previously approved second story / office storage area.


For property located at 760 Broadway Street.


A quasi-judicial public hearing before the Planning and Zoning Board on the proposal will be held on May 15, 2018, at 9:00 a.m., or as soon thereafter as may be heard, at the Town Commission Chambers, 501 Bay Isles Road, Longboat Key, Florida. This hearing will be held in accordance with established quasijudicial procedures.


All interested persons may appear and be heard with respect to the request for Special Exception and Site Plan Amendment approval submitted by the Mar Vista Pub, Inc.  Copies of the proposal and related material associated with the request may be viewed at the Planning, Zoning & Building Department, 501 Bay Isles Road, between 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. weekdays prior to the hearing.  Questions may be directed to the Planning, Zoning & Building Department at 316-1966.


No verbatim record by a certified court reporter is made of these proceedings. Accordingly, any person who may seek to appeal any decision involving the matters noticed herein will be responsible for making a verbatim record of the testimony and evidence at these proceedings upon which any appeal is to be based (see Section 286.0105, Florida Statutes).
