DEVELOPMENT REVIEW COMMITTEE
The Development Review Committee (DRC) is comprised of members of various Town departments, including Planning, Zoning & Building, Fire Department, Public Works Department, and other such personnel as may be designated or assigned by the Town Manager, that work to ensure that development is in compliance with all Town ordinances. The purpose of the DRC is to allow Town departments to complete a technical review of a proposed development and provide written comments for the applicant. The DRC meets as needed to discuss development in the Town and make recommendations to other boards and commissions. This process provides an opportunity for the developer, property owner, etc., to discuss development issues with Town staff.
Meetings are scheduled as needed when applications are submitted to the Planning, Zoning & Building Department for review. An agenda outlining what project(s) will be discussed and a brief description will be posted on the Planning, Zoning & Building Department web page and in Town Hall. While Development Review Committee meetings are open to the public, participation is limited to Committee Members, unless a Committee Member requests information of an applicant. Opportunities for Citizen comment on proposed developments are provided through scheduling appointments with individual Town Staff or by submitting written comments or speaking at public hearings before the Planning & Zoning Board or Town Commission. Please note, DRC meetings are not recorded, so no audio will be available.
